In the third quarter of 2024, the top five first-person games on the Android platform in South Africa demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Despite this drop, its weekly revenue peaked at $142 in late August before tapering off to $7 at the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively consistent, fluctuating between 41.6K and 51K throughout the quarter.

Hair Tattoo: Barber Shop Game from CASUAL AZUR GAMES experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, climbing from 17.7K in early July to a peak of 13.5K in early September. The game maintained a high level of weekly active users, with numbers ranging from 96K to 117K. Revenue remained negligible, with only a few weeks registering minor earnings.

The Teacher Simulator: School Days app by Kwalee Ltd showed an upward trend in weekly downloads, starting at 15.4K and ending the quarter at 16.8K. Revenue saw a modest increase, reaching $28 in late August. Active users also grew, with numbers rising from 25.6K to 32.8K by the end of September.

Revenue followed a similar pattern, peaking at $447 in late September. Active users increased substantially, hitting a high of 60.8K at the end of the quarter.
